Privacy Policy.

The short version: the app is free, works entirely on your device, and collects no data.

Summary. DataMatrix Mobile has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and it never connects to the internet. Nothing you scan ever leaves your device unless you choose to share it.

1. What the App does

DataMatrix Mobile photographs DataMatrix barcode labels, decodes them on the device, and checks the decoded content against the GS1 General Specifications format rules and the label-format requirements of Russian Government Resolution No. 820. It can generate a report (HTML, PDF or CSV) that you may share through the standard iOS share sheet. The App is free of charge, with no in-app purchases.

2. Data the App collects and transmits: none

The App contains no networking code. It does not transmit any data to INDAS TECH or to any third party. There are no accounts, no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no cookies.

3. Data stored on your device only

  • Photos you capture or select are processed on the device. After analysis, a copy of each analyzed photo together with a technical timing log is stored in the App's private “Diagnostics” area, so a slow or incorrect scan can be investigated if you choose to contact support. These files are automatically deleted after 3 days (with a hard cap on the newest 25 entries), can be deleted at any time via About → Delete All Diagnostics, are excluded from device backups, and never leave the device unless you explicitly share them.
  • Reports you generate are written to the App's private cache and are removed automatically at the next launch.
  • Settings (for example your preferred photo source and whether the intro tips were shown) are stored locally as app preferences.

4. Data you choose to send us

If you use About → Share Diagnostics and send the resulting file to us (for example by email), we receive the photos and technical logs you chose to send, along with your email address. We process this information solely to investigate and fix the problem you reported (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in supporting our software, and your own action of sending it). Diagnostic photos may incidentally show surroundings of the label; please review before sending. We keep support submissions only as long as needed to resolve the issue and delete them afterwards, at the latest after 12 months. We do not share them with anyone and do not use them for any other purpose.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

Where we process personal data you sent us, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability under Articles 15–21 GDPR, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Romania: ANSPDCP, www.dataprotection.ro). Contact us at the address above to exercise them. For data stored only on your device, you are in sole control — the App cannot access or recover it for you.

6. Permissions the App requests

  • Camera — to photograph labels for decoding. Used only while you take a photo or run Live Scan; images are processed on the device.
  • Photo picking uses Apple's out-of-process picker, which gives the App access only to the specific photos you select.

7. Children

The App is a professional/business tool and is not directed at children.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy at this URL and update the effective date. Material changes will be noted in the App's release notes.
